How should I care for my child’s teeth?

For children, fun and stress-free experiences at the dentist from early childhood can positively influence dental health throughout their lives. Precinct Dental is a family-friendly practice and we offer calm and reassuring dental care for children.

When should I bring my child to the dentist?

As soon as your child’s teeth start appearing, we recommend coming into the practice to see your dentist.

We can advise you on brushing using an appropriate toothbrush and toothpaste. A good early brushing routine helps keep your child’s teeth in good condition as they grow.

How often should children see the dentist?

Regular visits every six months or so are a great opportunity for the dentist to assess the development of your child’s teeth.

Importantly, children also become familiar with the environment, sitting in the chair and having the dentist look at their teeth. Through minimising anxiety with positive experiences at the dentist, we can optimise your child’s dental health both now and in the future.
